GOOD RUN FRIEND! Good run indeed. Phil made it into the top 12 before the band (after
outwardly stating it was his "best performance yet") decided he was too unique for
them and booted him - not for performance characteristics - rather by "questioning
his commitment". Perhaps that's because Phil is a vanguard and is focused on setting
his own standard of excellence, not jumping into the one that was set 15 years ago
where certain others are apparently quite comfortably wedged in a rut that reeks
of four chord Rolling Stones left overs.
The other contestant's jaws hit the floor in unison as the capacity crowd chanted
"Phil, Phil, Phil, Phil". There's more behind the scenes than what they show on
the screen. Use the international publicity for all that its worth and run with
it!! Supernovas - though spectacular at explosion - rapidly burn away to dust. You
are a rising star that will brilliantly burn for decades to come. Let your voice
be heard… and watch the world rock.
IAP is a PROUD supporter of Phil Ritchie
on Rock Star Supernova. IAP had the distinct honor of being the company
of choice to do a few photo shoots for Phil and his band, Lennex who abso-F'n-lutely ROCK!! We also hooked them up
with some sweet poster prints from the shoot!
Those who know Phil will agree, he's got everything it takes to be a true Rock Star...
and then some. This is one front man who is a rare find indeed. The world is in
for a rare treat when this guy hits the screen!! We went to see his band at every
opportunity and strongly recommend that you do the same!
A genuinely nice guy who straps it on like a man possessed when he hits the stage.
Phil has an amazing range and control ,delicately lofting from octave to octave
with smooth precision or screaming grit. He captivates all, rules the stage with
confidence and swagger, takes no prisoners and leaves everyone breathless yet thirsting
for another round!

PHIL RITCHIE: (Ocean City, MD) Once a straight-A student? Former
marching band member? Tattooed rocker Phil Ritchie is a bundle of surprising contradictions
wrapped in a coolly confident demeanor.
Born in 1978 in the small town of Shadyside, Maryland, Phil was constantly on the
move as a child, finally landing in Ocean City, Maryland. It was there that the
impeccable student and jazz band member found life in rock and roll after he was
asked to audition for the band Lennex. He nailed the audition, subsequently fronting
the group with such success that they've toured the country racking up impressive
stage time with national acts like Cake, Fuel, Bon Jovi and The Goo Goo Dolls.
An enigmatic, powerful performer, Phil finds musical inspiration in the likes of
(and among many others) Tom Petty, Tool, Soundgarden, and Jeff Buckley. And with
that inspiration, he inspires us as well.
ROCK STAR returns for its second season featuring an all-star lineup
of rock musicians who have joined forces to form the new super group, Supernova.
The band, made up of Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), Jason Newsted (Metallica) and Gilby
Carke (Guns and Roses) will be joined by returning hosts Dave Navarro and Brooke
Burke as they hunt for a new lead singer. The show will also feature some format
twists with a different music celebrity or rock legend guesting each week. The competition's
winner will record an original CD with Supernova, to be co-written and produced
by hit songwriter/producer Butch Walker.
